A bit late

But better late then never,right? I bet you are wondering where stampTACular Tuesday is. Well with summer starting and Bridgett and I trying to get it together. We didn't come up with a project to share. So we took the week off. But I wanted to share some awesome blog candy I won from my sister Karyn.I love it! I have tons of images to play with now and some pretty nice 6x6 paper. I love the cuttlebug diefor my little monkey and look at the yummy colors in the embellishment box. Thanks Karyn. FABULAOUS BLOG CANDY SCORE!

2 weeks ago I won Ed's fabulous blog candy and my goodies arrived today all the way from Jolly Ole England! Thanks Ed this is some pretty fun stuff!

Look at that border punch. Maybe its just me but I have never seen a border punch that makes a circle into a sun! OHHH I can't wait to try that actually it'll probably become glorious sunflowers. Then that cute little purse stamp set. You can't see it but that ribbon is fabulous. YA YA ITS ORANGE WITH LOTS OF ORANGE BEADS! I soo need to make you a card with it! Then that little yellow flower thing is a nifty little embossing plate (my daughter claims its for her!)

It's christmas ..again

LOL just kidding its just a page I did about our old house in El Paso all decked out for the holidays. No need for the pitchforks and fire guys..I am not trying to bring about the holidays so soon. LOL

I used colormates cardstock again , and pp is DCWV, rubons by Making Memories and dazzling diamonds on the circle punched ornaments by Stampin up.

It's all about me...and blog candy

Not really. This is an album that started about all sunflower stuff I have received as gifts through out the last few years. It started back in germany when I wanted to decorate my kitchen. I chose to do it in sunflowers. Well people decided it fit me so it has since become my signature flower. Now I get lots of it to decorate my house in. As a small tribute and so I can remember who gave me what and when, I make sure I add pages as I get the gifts.

This page qualifies me for this weeks scrap2lose challenge which is to do a layout using ribbon.

Scrap to lose challenge

Ok quickie post today ...I have a zillion little projects I need to get done on topof laundry and normal everyday family stuff ( Oh why oh why do kids have to eat? )

Anyway , I am sure I have mentioned before that I belong to a wonderful group on Sparkpeople. They have weekly challenges that I am hoping to paticipate in more on a regular basis. So the first one of the year was to scrap using a white background and only 2 different colors. Well here is my page. It is Thanksgiving of 06 when myhubby deployed and so I went to my grandmothers to be with family!

Then there is this one that I did. I really struggled with this page because I hated this particular deployment. Not that one is ever good, but I realized as far as years went 06/07 left a bitterness in my heart that I am still trying to get over.

You know one day I will find a good spot for me to take good pics of my pages for all to see. Ohh and don't forget I have blog candy here.

Magical Monday and blog candy

What is it about the silence of a house the first day when kids go back to school? I don't want to break it. It is enevitable as my husband will be coming in from PT soon and wreaking the house I have straightened up once already. But for now it's just me and my clackty clack of the keyboard. No fighting about what the girls want to do to occupy themselves, no tv, no radio , NO FLIPPIN XBOX! (ok so maybe the xbox s unfair as I am the one who got it for hubby for Christmas but after hearing nothing but that the last two weekends and most days since Christmas radiating from my living room I am so over it)
Anyway I want to share with you although it is not quite finished, my present for my grandmothers 80th birthday. I have have always wanted to make my grandmother a quilt with her family on it. Now mind you I have only made 2 or 3 quilts in my entire life and that was over 5 years ago so I am a bit rusty. In the patterned fabric there are hearts handstitched in and squiggles on the sides of the saying that reads A family stitched in love hardly unravels. I am debating as to wheather or not i want everyone to sign it. What do you think?

Now for my surprise. My promised blog candy for my 100+ posts. I know it took me forever to get to, but it is here. Monday , Monday

Sorry I am late this morning guys. After a week of not keeping up on Sparkpeople and no workouts, I was slipping into depressed mode and feeling Blah. So I woke up this morning and got to it. And as an added bonus my son caught whatever my daughter had and is now feeling the effects of that. Sing with me if you were a kid in the 80s ..It's just another Manic Monday(ahh ahhahhh).

So anyway just to let you know Bridgett has a sweet little giveaway going on on her blog. I still Have to make a card for it but I wanted to share the details! Pop on over and give her a hello!

Now I know I have thankful 30s for the last three days so here they are

1. a good book. I have read 2 James Patterson books and 4 out of 8 of the Little House on the Prairie series. I started em when I was little and I am just now getting back to them.

2. Cool weather. I love it when its cold. I am a very warm blooded person by nature and when it starts to cool off I throw open every window in the house and freeze everyone out! LOL that's why we have a zillion couch blankets people!

3. people who make me laugh. Nothing makes me like you more if you can make me laugh! And let me tell you there are some dozeys out there.

Well I woke up to Jeannies comment of CONGRATS YOU WON! I was doing a huh? Then I was like ohhh wait a min the Twilight giveaway at Sunshine and Lemonade. So I hustle over and wow I didn't win the big super pack but I won what I had really wanted out of there.

So as soon as this puppy is in my hands I am off to go get the book everyone is talking about. Best part is I get to enjoy this while reading my yummy new book!

Now I am sure that people are wondering when the heck is she gonna do a giveaway of her own?
