In honor of the walking dead..

SO FRACKIN EXCITED ! THE WALKING DEAD RETURNS TONIGHT! I simply can not wait so I wanted to share something with you. You may have noticed a new watermark on my photos this week...if not here it is again.

It was made with my new headshot that the awesome Betty Roberts made of me! That's right I am a digi stamp! What does that have to do with the walking dead you ask? Check out what's on the shirt!

Got to love that right? I just got around to accomplishing stairs so I just now printed it out so I am going to color and make a card with her soon... now I am not only one stamp ..I am available as a sunflower fairy as well....

You can get these awesome (ok I am severely biased here) stamps from Simply Betty Stamps here. And if you do get one and make a card with them please please share them in the comments. I really want to see what everyone does with them.

Card challenge sunday

I only have 2 cards to show you this weekend as time was just not on my side at all to get these scheduled.
First I have for you the Mojo monday sketch...
And here is my card. I wanted to capture the brightness of the papers as well as a feel of something silly. This totally fits me...but is going to be sent on else where.
Now the second challenge was my SBS group whose theme was beach. I have to say a HUGE thank you to Karen from the group who had sent me this image in a prize package from her blog. I have no and I mean no beach type items in my stash. Well not stamped anyway. And I was not going to do it until I ran across this. Thank you Karen you saved me on that one.
I love the feel of this stamp. It feels so youthful, cheerful and hopeful. Makes we want to go watch people on the beach to catch a glimpse of these youngsters. Well I am exhausted from this week so I am going to go chill out and enjoy my day. I hope you all had an astounding weekend!

Summer fun

My sister Wendy over at Wendy's crafting times posts a weekly sketch challenge for a board she is on. This weeks sketch is here. Instead of using it for a card challenge my dear friend Amber said that would make a cute scrap page. Since I have not worked on my girls albums in ages and I totally agreed with her I flipped the sketch on its side and made this....

Hubby says he loves the head wear in this picture , but I think its perfect for commerating the first time we bought a pool of the girls. I loved the challenge Wendy! I really hope you do not mind that I made a page from it! But you know what they say inspiration comes from everywhere and everything. Thaks for inspiring me to get a page done!

Card Challenge Sunday

Sunday ...time for more card challenges! Yippee! I love these I really do so let's start.
Of Course we Started with mojo monday.....
Here is what I did with the sketch. It's for someones birthday but can't say who as I don't know if she reads my blog or not! Paper is SEIThis is my SBS 24 Group challenge. This week's theme was flowers. This is another one for my Stamp2Lose swap. I was sent the pp and image to work with.
Kerry's 3 Clover's Thursday Challenge was to make a non square/ rectangle card. Ok I was at a loss , but then I remembered I had some templates that sister Wendy had sent me. I thought I lost em when my computer crashed a while back , but found them on a disk. WHEW! So I made this....
after thought though was I so should have cuttlebugged the hat. Ohh well live and learn. Hope You enjoyed looking. I enjoyed making!

Card Challenge Sunday

It's that time of week again. The card challenges! All I can say is man you can tell when I am in a bad mood. My cards don't get the extra time and love I put into them. I can feel the difference, can you?
We start with our mojo Monday sketch seen here.....
My card seen here. This is also another card for my stamped image with a twist swap on Sparkpeople. So not sure who made the stamp. , but the sentiment is TAC. Then Kerry's 3 Clover Thursday Challenge #14 was black + white + 1 . I love Turqouise and black and white so that was an easy color choice. The set used here was SU's delight in life.

Then there was mt SBS group theme challenge of love/romance and sister Wendy's sketch.

I think I have mentioned before I am so lacking in the love /romance stamp sets. I just never think to buy them. My hubby is a humor kind of guy ,not a love/romance type. But I guess for purposes other then Valentime's day I need to break down and get some. So of course I used my good ol smitten set from SU. LOL I also noticed with this set I gravitate to these colors. Man do I need to break out of the box on that one. HELP HELP HELP (said in my best imitation of the kid trapped in a lawn chair in the movie Parenthood.)

Card Challenge Sunday

I managed a lot of challenges this week. I was so sleep deprived but I can honestly say I like all the cards I did with the exception of mojo monday. I don't HATE it, but there is something to be desired on it. So lets get started Here's mojo monday sketch.... And here is the card I made to go with it. My family are die hard Texans (true texans born and raised LOL) SO I bought this for the express purpose of using it for my dad. It's not perfect but I know he's gonna love it. Then for Kerry's 3 clover challenge it was flowers, stamped, real ,paper ,just flowers. LOL I know its an unusual card but I have a daughter who loves this set, and I love rockabilly stuff even if I can't pull it off. I got a kick out of this card though. The next two cards serve as double and even triple duty. See I was in a stamped image swap with a twist in my Sparkpeople group stamp to lose. You send in 10 stamped images and 10 6x6 pieces of paper and then see what you can make. So the next two cards are made using 2 of those. Challenge 1.
This sketch isn't really a challenge but I used it because the paper, the image ,and everything just felt right for it. I got it from Bridgett's angel sister's blog. So this is challenge 2 for this one. Here is my card. The picture does not do it justice. The Pattern Paper is simmery like silk and the polka dots feel like velvet. I was so in love with that paper.
OK here is Challenge 2 for the next card . My SBS Group challenge was to do a thinking of you card. Challenge 3 for this card is a sketch done by my fellow sister Wendy. She has been putting up sketches for a long time and I always say I am gonna do it but never get to it. So this week I pulled it off. Here is the sketch... Here is my card.....

Can you believe I pulled all these off in one night in a matter of a few hours? Everything was just flowing for me. I hope you liked them and Have a stellar week!

Card Challenge Sunday

First off I would like to wish all Mother's , Mother's to be , future mothers, adopting mothers, mothers to angels a Very Happy Mother's day.

First off is my mojo monday sketch for this week.

I opted to go with a military theme in honor of memorial day. I am proud of the soliders and all that they have to go through for what they do for our country. This will be finding its way to a soldier somewhere overseas to thank them.

This one is another 2 fer. It started out for the 3 clovers thursday challenge, which is to make something for mom, sister (women ) and use ribbon. But it hit me dazzling diamonds on the tips would be killer. SO that takes care of the SBS group challenge of make it sparkle. I didn't start out that way but thats how it wound up. I didn't adda sentiment yet because honestly while I love the card I am not sure what I will use it for. Birthday , just because, thinking of you, so I will add it when the mood strikes. I hope you enjoyed these. And again Happy mother's to day to all the super moms out there!

Card Challenge Sunday

Well I only had time to get 2 of the card challenges I wanted to get done this week. I was on a quest to fullfill a goal of 27 pages for april and I got them done. But card challenges suffered. But this one is a 2-fer. This is the Mojo monday sketch and my SBS groups challenge of Mother's day cards.

I have always adored Dorothy and the wizard of oz. and when I saw this digi stamp from the Greeting Farm I knew I had to have her. I really like how this one came out because for my husband there really is no place like home.

Card Challenge Sunday

Well I have been wanting to participate in numerous challenges and I decided to dedicate one day to them all. SO as I make these I will share them all on Sunday!

First up to play is the Just Christmas and Birthday card sketch. Seen here. This is my take on the sketch. This also my first time playing with a Magnolia stamp. I just got her as a gift. Thanks Cynthia! She was so fun to play with. For the mojo monday sketch #83 ,seen here:I made this card. I am not sure sure I am loving it but the vision was so much cuter in my head. Then again kids who refuse to co operate will do that to a person. Then the 3 clover's Thursday challenge for this week was animals. I made a 3-d diorama . My husband thinks it came out so cool. He's like , man thats kinda snazzy. Well the tutorial can be seen on Splitcoaststampers here.
For today's birthday card Challenge for my SBS group , I decided to make a waterfall card. Check out the progression, as it falls.

I got the tutorial on how to make this card from splitcoast also ,but blogger for some reason won't let me link it. I tell you I am all about trying all the techniques and projects on there these days. I think some of these need to make a comeback.
So I hope you got some ideas and you decide to play along with some of these challenges. So till next sunday ...keep crafting.
