SBS 24 Challenge #19 - love card and news

My card today is based on this sketch here from Heather Scott at Oz-some stamps. I didn't want to use just circles but the elements are there. This is also for hubby on Valentines Day. I don't have a lot of valentine's day stamps. I need to rectify that. I always have to use this one. Actually I was hoping my magnolia stamps I had ordered would have been here to use those for this challenge but no such luck.

Also I noticed I hit my 5000 hits mark. WOW! So I am going to have to have a giveaway to celebrate, so let's keep an eye open for it in the coming weeks.

SBS group challenge 15

This weeks challenge was for a humorous card. I think this set is as humorous as I have in my stamps. But I love it and it is appropriately named stinkin cute. I think the skunk fits the name.

I chose to go with a simple card this week and you will see why on my post tommorrow. I just used red cardstock from colormates, the pp is chatterbox, and the ribbon is from walmart. Easy Pesy!

Fellow blogger friend Jeanne posted a blog about stupidity in print that you can see fully here. But this had to be my favorite. I mean who hasn't felt this way about a sibling at some point! I am the only girl with three brothers. I was the only girl on my dad side of the family for 14 years and I grew up around my cousins till I was 6. I can fully fully relate!

OHH the joy I guess

Dr. just called my HCG count is less then 2 so that means not pregnant. My friends are asking how I am taking it. Honestly and truly it is for the best we aren't ready for no. 4 and we really didn't think I was seeing as hubby has been snipped. We would really be struggling there if we were. But I would be lying if I didn't say there is that small sting of disappointment. For my SBS sisters I am so sorry my blog went so personal for awhile, I will be getting back to crafty self soon. Thanks for being patient with me.
On a positive high note I want to send a big shout out to my friend (who shall remanin nameless at the present time because I am not sure she wants it announced) who sent me an awesome Swiss colony gift set! Wow you should have seen the joy that crossed hubby face when he saw that! He is a sucker for summer sausage. I think she has wriggled into his heart permanately. Thank You Thank You!
As I am sure as you all are, I am wrapping presents getting ready for the big day in 9 days, when it sneaks up on me like it does every year. My baby boy turned 15 yesterday. Wow it doesn't seem like it I can not imagine what it will feel like when my baby girl turns 15. It truly does go by sooooo fast. I can honestly say though I have a great son. He has direction and knows what he wants to do with his life , engineering, and has been a great and mellow kid since his birth, I think I have one picture of him crying as a kid. He has always been happy go lucky. I don't worry about him as he has always displayed great reasoning and knows right from wrong. I could not have asked for a better son. He is truly a joy..So HAPPY BIRTHDAY RY GUY! I love you more then you know!

Christmas fun

Contrary to most people's beliefs I have not fallen off the planet. Just having one of those ebbs where the thought of being on the computer makes me wince. I am still on edge and just not in the mood to do a darn thing. Maybe a small bout of depression? ( I have suffered with it since 14 in varying degrees)

Side note I took a blood test on Fri they said I would have the results on that afternoon ,when I called right before closing the lab tech told me to could be 10 days due to my insurance because they had to send it out!

Anyway I have actually been doing some fun christmas stuff! So I thought I would share that today! Here are my kids at my hubby's unit Christmas party. I have a ton of pics from it just not alot of me and the familia because I was designated photographer as someone forgot thier camera. I love the first picture here because this is the first time in years we were able to get my youngest daughter on Santas lap. She is terrified of him because unlike most kids she knows she's a sassy girl and well if Santa knows she's bad why would she want to get a lecture? Or be told she is gonna get coal? So she plays it safe and will not go near Santa. I later found out that hubby told her it was a Santa helper and that's the only reason she agreed to see him.

Here we are doing gingerbread stuff. This is something new this year. We have never done gingerbread anythng so we bought some kits and the kids had a blast. I think I was waiting till they were old enough to do alot of it themselves to enjoy the process.Hubby and Kyla working on a train. WHOO WHOO!

And I bet you are wondering what the heck is going on with that giveaway? Well Hubby has been having to do a range and we are a one car family. When his schedule goes wacky all our schedules go wacky. I have not been able to pick up said fun items and I can only hope they are still available. Maybe if he gets home on time today I can head out!

NEWS FLASH!!!!

I will be taking a break for a few days as I have caught a case of death cooties complete with chills and body aches! Love when hubby gets the flu mist. I am always the one to get sick!
