Scripture Challenge Week 22 - Time

Ecclesiastes 3
A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Everyone has heard part of these verses at some point in thier lives. The first sentence says it all There is a time for everything. But how much time in our day to we devote to God? Even I am guilty of spending whatever time is left over to Him instead of scheduleing time around Him. Our lives are busy. But we need to cherish and protect our time spent with Him in prayer and thoughts because if don't someone or something else will fill it up for us.

This is so right on! I absolutely love these verses!! I complain of not having enough time to do what I want but we're all given the same 24 hours. Today I started my day in prayer remembering the saying: A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel. I could absolutely tell the difference in myself at how peaceful it is to begin the day talking with God!
Hugs,

Great layout for Time! You are right that our lives are busy, and things that should be important always get left to later because you think you will have time to get to them! x x
