Celebrate 8

We decided years ago that we wouldn't have parties for the girls anymore for their birthdays. One has a birthday on spring break and one during the summer. So for Michelle's 8th birthday we went to a pottery place where we painted our own things and then to Chuck E. Cheese for dinner and games then home for presents and cake. While I feel bad that we no longer do parties they seemed to have a good time.

Lovely layout Christina! Don't feel bad that you don't have birthday parties, we don't have parties now. Parties are so expensive these days, I would much rather take them out for the day and spoil them.

I love the scrapbook pages! I like your idea of no birthday parties actually because by taking them out for a fun activity and dinner then coming home for cake and presents, you are actually making their special day all about them! What a great idea! Sometimes the parties get to be too much and the theme, party favors and "extras" are more the focus than the birthday boy or girl!

Bridgett
